When should I have my first massage?

We Advise 3 to 5 days post surgery.

Does Manual Lymphatic massage hurt?

Absolutely not. Manual Lymphatic Massage involves soft and gentle, rhythmic motions only.

How do I know if I have seroma?

A balloon-like pocket of fluid will form beneath the skin, usually near the incision site or liposuctioned area. When touched, the pocket of fluid will ripple under the skin.

The most common areas for a seroma to form are beneath the breast, near drain sites or near surgical incisions.

Stage 2 Liposuction Garment

When do I change to stage 2 garment?

You will need to change to stage 2, a specialised garment, 4 weeks post-surgery.

How many sessions do I need?

It is recommended to have between 6 and 12 sessions. A tailored and bespoke session plan will be made during your initial consultation.

Are post-surgery massages safe?

Yes, when carried out by a specifically trained professional qualified in post surgical aftercare and treatment.

Not only is post-surgery massage safe, it’s highly effective in aiding post surgical recovery and assisting with gaining optimal surgery results, particularly from cosmetic surgery procedures.

When can I have body contouring / wood therapy?

For liposuction it is recommended at  8-12 weeks. For any other procedure 12 months is recommended.

Can I have body contouring if I have not had surgery?

Absolutely yes!

Non-surgical body contouring is excellent for helping to drain excess fluid from the body, leaving you looking and feeling more toned
and lean.
